In this short scene, Cai tells his brother that he does not want to go with him. He tells him that he has spent his whole life without stepping on a toe, and that he feels that his life is beginning to get better. Cai says that his parents did not sacrifice for him to follow his footstep, and he is relieved that Cai will not risk his life for them. He says that in two weeks, Cai will be gone with his belongings, and Cai will take over the house and Cai's money. Cai tells Cai not to try and persuade him, as he is different from Cai. He will stay in the orphanage and train, live, and care for his adoptive parents. Cai asks if Cai has bought supper back from him yet. Cai explains that he thought Cai was going to ask for money from outside, but now that Cai is dead, Cai is his replacement. Cai promises that he will try and catch up with Cai no matter how difficult it is.
