The protagonist tells the reader that he is in the middle of a fight with a woman from the Church of the Holy Land. He tells the protagonist not to worry, because the woman is impressive and he does not know how to fight against her. He tries to convince the protagonist that the only way to defeat her is to offend the city lord, but the protagonist refuses to believe him. He spits at the protagonist and tells him that he has never thought he could hold on to this long. He urges the protagonist on, telling him that if he can hold on longer, he will be able to enjoy more of his life. He repeats that he will let the protagonist live longer if the protagonist will change his attitude. When the protagonist hears that the woman has broken into the church, he is horrified. He asks the protagonist what he wants to do, and the protagonist answers that he did not only steal his beast slave, but he also ruined her.
