About This Chapter
In this short scene, we are introduced to the young "little immortal" and his teacher, the "little fox spirit" . The young fox spirit asks the little immortal to play with him for a while. The little fox spirit tries to comfort the young man by saying that he is tired of playing with him all the time, and that he should just chill out and be alone. The teacher tries to calm him down, saying that the little man is a mature child, and he should be having a good time playing with other children of his age. He says that he will try to make the little boy grow up to be a "block of wood" , and the young boy agrees to try it. He then asks the teacher to touch his face, which has become red, and to be quiet, which the teacher says he would be if he were quiet. The boy begs the teacher not to be shy, but the teacher tells him to be good and to not be shy. He tells the boy to rub his face just to make him feel better, and when the boy does not want to
