The narrator tells us that the purpose of the crimson loop organization is to save the world. He tells us how he and his father have been working there for ten years. The narrator asks the young man if he can get up to the top of the building. The young man says he can't because his father was a drunk who died many years ago. He says he doesn't need to think about how to make money from the government if his father is working there. The two men start talking about the past, and the narrator tells him that the chancellors will be coming to see him soon.
