In this short scene, we are introduced to a young man who has come to visit his dead mother, who has recently died. The young man introduces himself as his father's son-in-law and asks his mother if he can introduce his girlfriend to her. Her response is that she will not be able to because her soul has returned to life after her death and resides in the body of a woman who was once her mistress. This is the young man's mother, and he asks her if she would like to marry him. She replies that she would, but that her soul is still alive and will not return to life until she is dead. She tells him that his father has died and that he is now a surrogate father for his mother
