The scene opens with the narrator lamenting the fact that it's been raining all day. He's bummed that he didn't get to go out on a date with his girlfriend, but he's also bummed that his girlfriend is in such a bad mood. He asks her if she'd prefer sex or not, and she responds that she's too good at what she does. He tells her that he can teach her how to play table tennis, but she can't do it because of her "head over heels" for him. She asks him if he'd like sex, and he replies that he would prefer it if she would just dump him. He then asks if there's something she wants to say, and the narrator tells him that he doesn't have any to say because he'll have to wait until they're done playing table tennis before he can say anything. The narrator then asks him what's funny about the whole thing, and when he says that he just wants sex, the narrator says that's the only thing he has to say. The two then start playing some more table tennis. This time, they've only been playing for a few minutes, so they'll get used to each other's language. The man who's playing the game asks the narrator if he can call him by his first name, and then they start talking about how good he is at the game. He says that if he likes it, that'll be all right, but if he does, he won't be able to do anything awkward with her.
