It's been a while since the last time we saw the two of them together, and now that they're back in the rehearsal room, we catch up with Yulan again. He's worried about what's going on with Solyon, because he thinks he's lost his confidence in his performance. Yulan tries to calm him down by reminding him that he'll have to wash his face before they go through all of the scenes together. He tells Yulan that he should have washed his face during the intermission, since he didn't come to the rehearsal. He also reminds Yulan to stop smoking, since that's the only thing that'll make him feel better about his acting. He suggests that Yulan pretends to be insane, so that when he fails, he won't be able to blame it on his lack of acting experience. He says that he can pretend to be an insane actor if he wants to, and that he hopes Yulan will believe him.
