Still not good, says the narrator . He opens the third book he gave her , turns to page 225 , and reads the last line. There are only three more days left , he says, and he's going to try to condense words into 5000 . She hasn't had a good night's sleep because of her drama script , the narrator says. He asks why they're all there, and she says it's because she's tired. The narrator says he'll wait for him , but he doesn't have time to prepare the college application. He's heard someone calling him on the way home from school, so he coughs. He thanks the narrator for introducing him to the subject of astrophysics. He tells her not to tell him that she wants to be a major in this field, but to take the book as a hobby. He also tells her that she'll be able to write excellent novels if she is trained to be sensitive.
