The next morning, the women prepare their mother's famous soup, which they have prepared specially for the two women. They learn that they are from the famous Helian family, and that the two of them are his brother and sister-in-law. He explains that the family is from a fishing village in the Cangming-speaking part of the world. He says that his brother, the "helian yuan," is the young master and that his sister is the second young lady. He then explains that he has invented a "special smoke bomb" to kill the "old woman" who is trying to escape. He wants to marry her, he says, and he wants to play with her.
