The red guards come to reply the offer, and the two men are shocked to find out that they are not welcome in the army. They decide that they must join the army and obey the command of the commander. The commander says that if they do so, he will not use force against them. He tells them that they were rejected, and now he is forcing them to stay. He asks if they think they can escape, and they say that they can. They accuse him of wanting to be their master, and he says he will kill anyone who tries to stop him. The family calls him crazy, and says he trespassed into their army camp, and even hurt his men. They say that he is trying to enforce military law, and that he should kill all of them
