About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the narrator is an "omega" , which means he's a bit wary of "alphas" . He's not afraid of them, he says, because he doesn't want to be "attacked" by them. But he is afraid of being bitten by one of them. He says he didn't even throw a punch at the guy that day, and that he'll "lay him on his asses with one blow" if that's what it takes to get him over the hump. He wonders if his parents have chosen a partner for him, and he wonders if he should ask the guy in person. He asks if he can ask him in person, and the guy says he can't, since it's "outta time" for him to ask. The narrator says he'd kill the guy if he played with him. The guy says, "f gob hey, you're my problem, man !" and the narrator screams, "I'm serious." The narrator tells the guy to "run along to your club now," and the two of them run off to practice their "revolting program," which means they're not having sex anymore. They're still seeing each other, the narrator says, but they've got an "alpha" and "an alpha fiance," and as an omega, "it's enough" for them to still be lovers. He tells the narrator to get home, because if he stays here any longer, he might be " ripped apart" by his "fiance" and his "ex-fiance's." He says that he likes the guy, but that he gives up. The
