The narrator explains that the divine formula is divided into nine parts, but that it has been passed down from generation to generation. The first part is called "the general principle" and the second part "the first part of the formula" . In other words, the first part says that a person who can influence other people is called a "sage" and a person that is "unfathomable" is a "deity." The meridians in the body are connected to the dantian, a divine source of power, which is transmitted through the body's meridians. The narrator says that he has reached a level 5 martial master and that all the members of the "windsor house" would "scramble" for the "divine feather arts" if he were to reach that level. He says that it is a pity that he was born without one of the eight meridians, because otherwise, he would lose his cultivation
