The priest lets him go, but he notices a fresh blood stain on the ceiling. He thinks it might be from his fellow human beings. The priest explains that the enchantment at the tomb can stop the devils, but it can't stop the ordinary people from being devoured by them. He and the priest go to the tomb to find out what's going on.
