About This Chapter
The guys are in the middle of their third day of training, and they're all freaking out. They don't know what's going on, but they can't figure out a way to beat the guys. They're not going to be able to beat them if they just follow the same routine as everyone else, says the guy who's supposed to be the leader of the group. He's not even sure that he's strong enough to climb nasthill, which is one of the hardest climbs in the world. The guy who works for the maiyos is also freaking out, because he doesn't think the guys are serious enough about their training. He thinks they've just been training for fun, and that they should be serious enough to test it out on the road. The maiyo guy is all, "hey, I'm not serious, I just want to have fun" . The other guys are all like, "dude, you're just wasting your time" , and then they all start yelling at each other for being too serious. It's like, you know what, we're going to have to do something serious to beat these guys. The guys start yelling back and forth, and finally they get to the point where they can barely keep up with the other guys, who are all running faster than they are. They all start talking about how hard it is to come back from ten years of being out of shape, and how it's hard to get back in shape when you've lost so much.
