About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a soliloquy by the narrator, in which he compares the real world to the "angels side" and the other world to "the other world" . He tells the audience that he has been dragging things out too long, and that whoever manages the garden must be a wonderful person. The narrator introduces himself as "yukichika" , the caretaker of the garden. He says that he's been dragging out the incident too long and that the person who is supposed to manage the garden should also be a "wonderful person." The narrator tells the section chief that she's not jealous of him, but that he is a "good person" and that he puts her off. The section chief says that she must be excited to be with such a good person. He asks her where her "beloved demon" is, and the narrator tells him that she came to him just for this purpose. The chapter ends with the narrator saying that she is ashamed of herself for being impressed by her "empathetic character." The chapter continues with the chapter's epigraph: "a waltz with a little incubus, the real-world, the other-world sometimes, they come together for work, and sometimes they even had no need for crying so much ."
