As he stares at her, Bulgar's eyebrows begin to contort. He wonders if she's out of her mind because she wants him to die. He's not sure if she wants to live or not. He can't move, he says, because of the smoke and the cloud cover. He doesn't want to die because of her. He wants to avenge himself. Bulgar says that he sprained his ankle as he fell. He says he's still recovering from his burns and shrapnel wound in his stomach. He asks if he can run, but Bulgar doesn' t have the energy to do so. He decides to walk. He tries to sleep, but it's too late. He wakes up to find that he'd been found alive. He thinks he was blown to pieces, but he comes back looking ridiculous. They're still looking for the missing soldiers, but they've sorted them out. They also find out that Sylvia is the only one alive who survived.
