About This Chapter
"Tanterview with a Murderer's Quality Check" The narrator tells us that he's moved out of his old apartment and is now living in a new place. He asks Clark if he wants coffee. Clark says he doesn't want to give him his left hand, but he does want to hear his right hand. The narrator asks him what he was thinking about when he bought the house, and Clark tells him that they've been together for a long time, and that it's great to hear their feelings expressed in words. He says he'd like everyone to know that he has a partner now, and he wants to make sure that everyone who knows him knows that he is in love with him. He also says that he loves Clark even if he makes that face look like he'll never love him, because he loves him anyway. He tells Clark that he hasn't slept in a while, and wants to get him some hot chocolate. He wants to know if something happened, and if Clark wants to talk. He's happy to listen, and asks if he can have a drink of hot chocolate, too. Clark asks if Clark is okay, and the narrator tells him to go home early. He goes on to say that he needs to get some sleep, because his ears have gotten so sensitive that he can't get any sleep.
