About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist has a loving family, an honor certificate, and a pretty face. He wants to go to an infirmary because he has no frustrations in his life and everyone loves him. He tells us that he has a dream that his girlfriend would like the "girly stuff," but he can't say for sure. Finally, he decides to major in forensic medicine because he's afraid that his family will disapprove of it. He's also afraid that he'll have to deal with his father, who's a doctor. But he finally decides to do it because it's the only thing he can think of that'll make him happy. The protagonist tells us about his first day in the dissecting room, when he vomited for three hours. He says that he thought she was pleasant to look at, but he didn't think she was as awesome as she is now. The professor tells him about a case of a homicide in which seven people were murdered, including the protagonist's neighbor, who was unrecognizable. The psychologist tells the protagonist that he needs to have a "rest - cure" . He doesn't blame himself for the tragedy, he says, and he can do whatever he wants with his life.
