In this chapter, we learn that Lin Xue Luo has been trying to get her to eat a meal prepared by her maid, Daha. When she refuses, he tells her to give it to him. He tells her that she is not his sister in law, and she tells him that she will tell him the truth when she is able to show up at his house. She says that every time she tries to be nice, he thinks she is up to something, and he is still eating. She admits that she knows all of this will happen, but she is still doubting herself. She wonders why she still does it, and then she says that she cant trust her with Luo either, and that she has kept track of their cycle so that they will take the chance the next time. She tells him to live for himself, too, and to not give up on himself. He is afraid that if something happens to her, he will be cut off from the feng family and will not be able to marry her.
