About This Chapter
The doctor has gone into the mountains to collect herbs for the boy. The boy asks the doctor where he is, and the doctor tells him that the boy must have gone to the mountains early in the morning to gather herbs. The doctor tells the boy to drink the medicine as soon as it cools down, but the boy does not believe him, and he tells the doctor that he will not agree to drink it if he does not. He says that he is an adult, and that he needs a child like him to watch him take what he does to him. He asks if the boy is pouring the medicine out of the medicine kettle, and if it is the right moment for him to do so, as he is standing next to a window with a huge wind. The child says that the doctor must have drank the medicine himself, as the boy cannot agree to let the boy drink it himself. He complains that the medicine is too dense, and wonders why the boy has not been able to crush all the drug residue. He tells the child to wait and see, as it is not the right time to crush the drug. He wonders if the child is trying to tease him, but he tells him to stop pretending, and to look at what he is saying. He wants to know why the child does not want to drink medicine when the doctor is not there, and why it is so dense, though the boy knows that it is a naughty child. He knows that the child wants to tease the boy, and asks if he is pouring medicine away, as if he were a lying adult, or if he
