About This Chapter
In this short scene, the audience is introduced to Peter, Peter's son, who is a member of the Tolstoy family, the Russian equivalent of the American Air Force. Peter is very fond of his father-in-law, and he is very happy to have him as a friend. He tells Peter that he wishes he were a real cosmonaut, and that he would like Peter to send him an e-mail if he is not able to become one himself. Peter tells Peter not to send any messages to his friend, because there are many Russian cosmonauts who once admired him and would like to become friends with his family. Peter then tells Peter to say hello to his neighbor, who has moved into the next room. Peter responds by saying that this custom does not exist in Russia, but that it is very common in the U.S. Peter replies that he has already been on the moon and that it makes him new again. Peter says that he heard that Peter used to be a part of the nasa team, but he does not know if this is true or not. He says that his family told him that he could say a single thing, so he will send this message.
