About This Chapter
The crew is in the middle of constructing the lunar lander when they hear a thump and see a picture of a macaroon on the ground. They are amazed at the size of the macaroon and wonder if it is really a macaroon. The crew calls for an Ambu lance to help them breathe, and they see that the earth is looking small. They decide to take a photo of the moon and send it to the two women. They hear the sound of a "thump thump thump" and see that it is an emergency contact. They wonder what it means, and the crew tells them that if something happens in the real world, they decide whether to be notified. Some astronauts decide to wait until they return home before being notified, and some decide not to even be notified at all. The thump thump is interrupted by a message from the lander, who tells the crew that he has just given his first aid to a woman who has stopped breathing on her own. She is now in the hospital and will need an artificial respirator. The lander says that they will cut open her tubes and give her a new one later in the day. He hopes that the woman will be able to talk to him.
