The chapter opens with Betty telling her son, Chris, that it's his sixth birthday. He asks her if there's a toy he can ask Santa for, and she tells him that it isn't a toy, but a globe. She also tells him she's going to ask Santa to give him one of the moons. The chapter ends with the crew aboard the International Space Station. Betty tells her son that if he grew up, he'd want to be anastronaut. He's got two brothers who are astronauts, she says, and he wants to be one of them someday. She tells him about her son's brother, who passed his test to become an astronaut. When she gets back, she'll tell him all about how he became interested in space.
