About This Chapter
This chapter opens with a shot of the comet. It's clear that it's going to be a long time before it gets to the moon, but the narrator is psyched to see it. He tells us that his little brother always told him that he'd get a job in the moon that would allow him to gaze at the stars. He'd be able to see the stars and gaze at his brother, Namba. The narrator says that if Namba hadn't gotten his brother's job, they'd have a nice house in the U.S., but he doesn't know if it would be big enough for him and his brother. He says he's not sure, but that if he had, he would have told Namba to come visit him in Texas. Namba says that he thinks life in Texas would be a good fit for his brother because he really likes his brother and wants to do something for him. The next day, the group gets into the last place again, and Namba thinks that's a pretty brave thing to do. He also says that his brother was right about the money, and that it means that his sister's prediction was correct. He apologizes for being the one to apologize, and says that whatever made Amanthi look that way was accurate, too. The group is still up, and the narrator asks if they're still talking about the meteor shower. The men say that they haven't heard from their brother in a while, but they've still got a lot to talk about.
