They're worried that the ghost is going to encircle them with wires, and that they're going to be killed by their own cage if they don't stop him. They also worry that the threads the ghost's making are so thin that they won't be able to protect them, even if they hit a wire. They wonder if the ghost needs the power of the specter to create these thin threads, and if they can use them to get to the cocoon, where they can blow it away.
