About This Chapter
The narrator is worried about what will happen to her relationship with her big brother. She's worried that he'll be jealous of her because she's not his girlfriend yet. She also worries that she'll get jealous of the other girls in the house, especially her twin sister, who she thinks is the coolest girl in the world. The narrator fidgets around the house and asks her brothers and sisters if they go to school together. One of them says yes, and the other two say no. She wants to know if they all go to the same school, but one of the girls says no, so the narrator wonders if there are still reminders of her friends around her house. She tells her brothers that she doesn't have her own room, so she'd like to give her a little room to breathe. She says that her brother is tired, but she promises to make him something to eat. She then asks if she can touch her when she feels worn out, and she says yes. The twins are teasing her about being her first girlfriend, but the narrator says that's just not true. She thanks her family for treating her like a star, and says that she hopes that if her brother's schedule clears, they'll have a lot of fun.
