About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that she was in her second year of high school when she had her first crush. He asks her if she's a burglar, and she tells him that she isn't. The narrator says that she just wanted to use some luck for the guy on the train. She's glad that he's carrying a charm, because she thinks it's going to make him happy. She tells the narrator to introduce him to her boyfriend, too, and says that if she doesn't tell him who it is, he'll have to guess. She also says that her sister has been looking for her, and that she hasn't heard anything from her since leaving to look for the narrator. She says that the station was chased by a "weirdo" who chased her around. She is glad that she is the only one who should go away, because if her sister does come back, she'll be the one who has to leave. She asks the narrator if she can keep the origami that the man made for her sister's birthday, but the narrator says he can't keep it, because his sister is mad at him for not giving her the ring. He says that his sister would like him to tell her about the ring if he finds it, but if he does find it, she wants him to let her know at once. He promises to keep the secret, and the narrator asks if he can eat lunch with them. He tells them that they should be a pain to both of them if they don't eat together, and then he asks them to sit down with the charms. They all agree, and he asks if they'd like to be good to the man who made the origami for his birthday. They do, and they all sit down to
