About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a conversation between the two students, who are discussing the new court that they have put up at the school. They are discussing whether or not they would like to become members of the school, and the student replies that he does not think that is realistic. He says that he is not afraid of the same at the club as he is at the elementary school, where he was the reigning champion. He adds that the other students look up to the young man, who looks like he is saving power by turning off the lights. The two students discuss the fact that the captain of the club, Tsujimoto, has refused to participate in the club tournament because of a request from the student. The student says that the reason he came to the school was because he believed in him, and he will not forgive the captain for refusing to play in the tournament. He feels sorry for the captain, because he had planned to win him an ally.
