About This Chapter
Hiroshi and Mishima arrive at the coach's house, and Hiroshi tells Mishima that the coach is in an assisted-living facility. Mishima tells Hiroshi that the previous coach, Minakuchi, was so ill that he couldn't care for himself, so he packed up his things and moved to the assisted living facility. Hiroshi says that he's sure that Mishima watched the game, but Hiroshi isn't sure. He's not sure why Mishima is so attached to the sport, but he does know that he wants to show Mishima one last time. He wants to know why they lost, and he says he'll study the game until he knows it well enough to play it on his own merits. He says that his time at Yonsei was worth it, and that he plans to go back to the premier league to play for the national team. He thanks Mishima for being such a good friend, and says he will take him to the Premier League in three. He praises his team's performance, saying that they were very strong, both on the attack and on defense. They've learned a lot from their loss, he says, and they're ready to play again.
