About This Chapter
In the second half, seiseki and Mizuki are chasing after each other, but Mizuki can't find a way to get the ball. The two teams are tied at the half-time interval, and it's clear that Mizuki is chasing after the other team's goal. Seiseki, meanwhile, is trying to catch a break, but he's too far back to catch the rebound. Mizuki has pulled back too, too, and the two teams have a goal to play with. The other team rushes the ball up the field, but ikari is on it, too. He's the one who's on top of the game, he says, and he should have kicked the ball clear. He doesn't know how to record his training in a logbook, he thinks. He wonders why the guy is acting like a spy, and how he knows so much about the club. He also wonders why no one sits next to Mizuki anymore, and why he'll have to sit next to the kid alone again. He thinks that the kid is like a "funny guy" , and that he seems to be able to get along with everyone. He says that he'd like to quit looking down his nose at everyone, because that's how his gut tells him that he is nothing like Mizuki. The coach has sat down, and sato is out of position to pass to anyone. The next train for Kunitachi leaves at 48 minutes after the end of the first half, so Mizuki and the rest of the team have no other options. They're stuck with their old 4-2-1-3 formation, and they don't really have any
