In this short scene, we learn that Milady has been spying on the Governess, and that she's worried about what she'll be able to do about it. The Governess tells Milady that she has to be kind to her, and Milady tells her that they're both fans of hers. Milady wonders if she knows a country boy who's also a fan of Milady's, but Milady assures her that she doesn't know him, and she wonders if Milady and her brother are really the same person. She also says that she thinks Milady must have had a hard time following her father's example, because she was a woman, and not a man.
