The next morning, Tommo wakes up to find that everyone except the captain has gone to bed. He apologizes to Suzuki for the mess he's made, and Suzuki is all, "What the hell am I doing?" Tommo asks if Suzuki has a message for him. He tells him that Suzuki asked him why he'd gone to the trouble, and he says that she was fixated on his ryozaan movies. He says that he gave up on the dream because he wanted to be a person who would not back down, and that he knows that tomorrow is so important to the whole group.
