On the 31st day of the school year, Hiroshi and his friends return to the dormitory where they are staying. Hiroshi thanks everyone for coming to cheer him up. He tells them that he sprained his ankle at the training camp and that he ended up in a hot tub. He says that it is not Hiroshi's fault that Tsukamoto's shot went in the goalpost. He also says that he will not be returning to school because he has promised his family that he would go back home to care for his grandmother. When Hiroshi asks if he will return to school, he replies that he does not think he will, because he feels that they have not practiced enough for the big game. He adds that if he had been out on the field, he would have scored the winning goal. He is glad that he and Mizuki were able to play the same game.
