About This Chapter
The sand collector asks why they didn't tell him to let them be the well. He says that if he had told them that he wasn't going to do it, then everyone would have lost their morale. He tells them that they shouldn't worry about akashi, because it's fine to be mad at something like this. He also tells them to relax, because akashi isn't freaked out by it. He adds that there's a sense of unity in the sand collector's group because they don't have to worry about each other. They all know that they're all equal in the sense of the universe. They've all done well to get to this point. The east team looks like they've only got enough sand to last a half-century. The west team looks even worse. They can't compete with the east team's pile. They have to wait for the sand to fall from the east mountain. The only way they can compete is if Toroi knocks the sand over. Toroi says that he's done with the game. He's just waiting to see what the other teams will do. He knows that he doesn't like losing, so he'll do anything for the team. He even knows that Toroi pulled off the "zero connect" , which means that he was allowed to advance. But the south mountain has more sand, so they can still win the next round. They only have one person to compete with, and they'll all be wiped out. They should all go and die for them.
