In this chapter, we meet a young woman named Renying, who is a member of the affair club. Renying tells us that she and her sister-in-law, Qu'an, have been having an affair for the past few months. She tells Renying that she is considering getting a divorce, but she is also considering getting her son a divorce so that he will not inherit her wealth if she does not get a divorce. When Renying asks what she should tell her son about his father, Renying says that she should not tell him because he has not yet been in love. She also says that if she tells her son that his father has an affair, she will lose her son's faith in her.
