About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Lin has been unfaithful to Littimer, and that he has brought Littimer back to the house, where they have been sleeping on the bed of Littimer's sister. Littimer is distraught, and he begs his parents to come to his house and help him, but his mother refuses, saying that she has already asked her aunty and uncle to come, and she is locked outside of her house. She begs her father to come in and help her, but he refuses. He tells her that he is wrong, that she should stop hitting him, that they had a reconciliation a few days before, that he had not married her and that she is cheating on him. He asks her to tell her friends that they have broken up, but she refuses to do so. She says that she will not bother Littimer in the future, because she has broken up with him. She thanks her sister for the trick, and says that when her father and his parents come the next day, the break-up is inevitable. She asks her sister if she is interested in helping her to save more women from their marriages, because her purpose is not to take revenge, but to help women be independent.
