About This Chapter
The scene opens with Ming standing on the side of the road. He tells the king that he has crossed the line and that he does not know his feelings for the king yet. He asks the king what he can do for him. The king tells him that tomorrow is his 18th birthday and he must attend the banquet. Ming says that the king is strange today because he has made a move on him, but that he can take advantage of the situation to start his revenge plan. He says that he cannot get close to the king because he is standing right before his eyes, but he says that soon he will be back to him. Ming asks who is sitting on the west seat. He thinks that it is the man who wrote the memorial to impeach the eunuch's faction. He wonders why the king has gotten so close to this man. He knows that the first thing the king wanted to do was to seek revenge for the general, and the second thing to destroy the kingdom. Ming thinks that if he cooperates with eunch cao, he can kill two pigeons with one stone. He is drunk and wants to go to the side room to get some rest
