About This Chapter
"If you die," says the narrator, "I'll die together with you. We'll be reborn in this world once more and we'll still be together" . Translation: if you die, we're going to be together forever. The narrator doesn't know who wrote the story, but he's sure that it's a good one. He's also sure that if he dies, he and the narrator are going to get married. He tells the kids that if they all die, they'll all be together again. The kids are confused. Who wrote the script? It's not clear, but the narrator is sure that the guy who wrote it is the same guy who said that in the letter. He says that the letter was full of exaggerations, and that the narrator didn't say anything too sweet-talky. He also says that he'd never said anything like that before. The boys are confused by the narrator's words, and he tells them that they should find a "wet nurse" to care for the baby. They've already found a wet nurse, and they don't have any idea how to do it. He asks the boys to come in and talk to him. He wants to know what they're supposed to do with the baby now that they've adopted him. They should come in
