The next morning, the fox wakes up to find that his pet has gone missing. He's not sure where he's been, but he knows that it's probably in the northern part of the city. The fox says that he'll give the fox a big reward if he can find the missing pet. He curses the fox, calling him a "little brat" and a "coo tod ra" . He also says that the fox is a "narrow- minded fox" and that the buchi thought he was the "key to find you" and the key to "find his brother" , so the fox must be jealous of the fox's success in finding his pet. When the fox opens his eyes, he sees a flashback to when he first saw the fox and remembers that they were both young. He asks the fox to choose the best song for the two of them.
