About This Chapter
Back at the prison, Cai Ming tells the jailer that he's here to give him one last chance to defend himself. He's worried that the king doesn't have any evidence to back up his claim that Cai Ming is responsible for the assassination. The jailer tries to shut up, but the pitter interrupts him. The pitter tells Cai Ming that he can't trust the king because he hasn't done anything to help him since he stepped into the public eye. Cai Ming asks him to think about the man who has benefited most from Cai Ming's presence in the public spotlight. He tells him that the man has asked him to come back to the prison first so he can be alone with Cai Ming. He then asks Cai Ming why he'd want to leave his body in the hands of a man who can never be set free until he leaves him. The prisoner is angry that he has become so cruel that he even killed innocent people. He asks if Cai Ming bullied Cai Ming, and Cai Ming replies that he
