Back at the tomb, the two men discuss the possibility of an escape from the underground palace. The men realize that the exit from the palace is half way up the mountain and that the town is at its foot. They decide to return to the capital immediately. Before they leave, however, they discover that the master of the pavilion has ordered an ambush on them.
