About This Chapter
In this scene, the doctor tells the patient that he will do anything he can to help him. The patient says that the couple in the picture is his parents. The doctor says that he is counting on the patient to find a blood-sucking device that will cure him of the disease. He says he will find the device and send it to the patient as soon as he can. He also says that if the patient wants to regain the glory of the family, then the only way to do so is by finding the blood-prick device. He thanks the patient for his kind words. The next day, the patient is glad to see the doctor again. He tells the doctor that the doctor has come to check out the new hospital that the family has set up. He asks the doctor if the rumors about him are true, and the doctor says there is no need to worry about the rumors. He adds that the owner of the hospital, the family doctor, has dedicated his life to practicing medicine and that the patient's health is in danger if the doctor uses hot needles to treat him. He calls the doctor a disgrace to the family and asks him to accept the challenge.
