About This Chapter
This chapter's epigraph comes from a conversation between the monk and the monk's servant. The monk tells the servant that the situation in Netherworld has taken a turn for the worse, and that it's time for a new god to rule the universe. The servant is shocked, but the monk calms him down. He tells the monk that he's the one who came out of the room of the dead man, and he reminds him that he took over the room after the man's death. He says that the monk is a rascal, and if he gets chosen as the new lord of Netherworld, the monk will take advantage of him. He also warns the monk not to worry about the next time he is chosen, because the man is injured and won't be able to fight again. He reminds the monk to focus on the big picture, and not worry about who's going to be chosen. He suggests that they look at the candidates for the lordship, since the dealer doesn't trust the monk. He asks the monk what brought him to Netherworld in the first place, and says that he was tricked by a guy who had five or six girlfriends, but he wasn't allowed to laugh at it. He ended up in the Netherworld because he couldn't figure out how to deal with the situation, and now he finds himself in the same situation. He wants to enjoy his life, even if he has only one girlfriend, because he has a wonderful woman who cares for him deeply. He tries to bring everyone's rooms into a nine sudoku, but there are always a few left, so he can't really kill them all. He wonders if he can even kill the dealer, since he has the same number of girlfriends as the dealer. He's also worried about the monk, because
