This scene opens in the middle of a martial arts tournament in which the champion of the tournament has been killed. The father of the champion is distraught and demands that his son's death be investigated. He believes that the champion relied on his king's weapon to kill his son. The cloud dynasty has stressed the strength of martial arts since ancient times. The patriarch of the martial house, the yunming martialhouse, is also upset and asks the king to investigate the matter. He is afraid that the arrogant chuxing yun is defying the whole of the cloud dynasty. The king, however, does not want to hear about it. He tells the father that the martial arts festival is a sign of the spirit of the ancient times, and that the sword, like life and death, has their own destiny. The chuxing yun tells the king that he is courting death, but the king says that in martial arts, the sword does not have eyes. Life and death can have their own destinies, as for the champion, hao kong. The monk then tells the patriarch that before the tournament, the champion had given him a level seven spiritual material as a reward for his victory. He says that he will keep his promise, but that the monk is trying to "suck his life blood". The monk says that the five-fire spiritual material that he has is a "rare thing" and that it can bring back dead people to life.
