The chapter opens in the lobby of the mansion. Young Master chu tells Miss Quin that he is afraid that his father will leave him like this and that he will never see her again. He tells her that he has poisoned his father with a poisonous substance called "netherfrost" . He says that he left the needles on his father's body to prevent the further invasion and that if nothing happens, he will temporarily wake up tomorrow morning. Miss Quin tells him that the entire mansion is under the control of tian feng and that they will be unable to leave. She tells him to get up and approach her. He tries to think of a way to get out of the house, but he can't think of anything to do. He thinks about his love for Miss Quin and how she is waiting for him.
