In this chapter, we learn that yan yang has left, and that the other three Elders are busy doing routine work. Worried that he is dead, chu tells us that he will not be able to survive the next seven days. He wonders how he was able to escape, and wonders why he threw away the bracelet. He also wonders why the four men that went to kill him were all dead, and he wonders what they should do if they meet him. He begs them to spare him, and they agree.
