About This Chapter
Back at the inn, Lin tells the innkeeper that he's feeling a little bit better about his trip to the mountains. He's been told that strange things are happening in the town, which makes everyone nervous. Lin asks the innkeeper why he still chooses to listen to the brothers' warnings. The innkeeper says that Lin's "righteous righteousness" makes him ashamed, but he can't believe that Lin would choose to come to an inn that's doing a promotion like this. Lin tells him that the shrewd waiter will come in and demand that they give him two rooms for free. Lin says that the rooms are for sale, so they're not for rent. Lin then tells Lin that he must have seen his brother. Lin is so sorry, but she's so pathetic that she goes crazy at times. Lin admits that he has a "close affinity" with the script. He says that no one has seen her brother, but that gradually, people in town died violently, either from being drained of their blood or from being ripped out of their hearts. Eventually, the town was reduced into a "grime land" and no one wanted to come back.
