About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Cai Ming-liang is bleeding from his wounds, and that his master is furious with him. He tells Cai that he should follow him and bring Ming to his master, and Cai tells him that he scared the tiger by his voice. He says that if he had been a better leader, he would have chased rabbits and picked fruits instead of chasing tigers. He also says that Ming is still that cheeky, no matter what world he is in. He asks Cai to come and check on Ming's health. Cai says that this is like a "paradise to face" . He then asks Cai and Ming to go and pick some fruit for him at the rear mountain. Cai asks them to come at him if they want to "lash out at someone" , and they do so. Cai points out that Ming has already been over twenty years old, and Ming can't be chained up on the summit of the mountain for the rest of his life. Cai then asks him to let Ming go, and he says that it took him a great deal of effort to carry Ming back. He wonders how Cai treats him like this, and wonders if he has a lot of secrets about his master. Cai gives him the script of the world, which he needs to get his head around.
