About This Chapter
The next day, the Governess tells the press that she's done everything she can to make sure her new movie is a success. She tells them that the director wants her to play the lead role in the movie, and that he's been scheming with her to get her to do it. The Governess also tells the audience that she was just trying to do her best to make the movie better. She's not blaming anyone, though, because she knows that people will blame her if she doesn't do her job well. She also tells them about the time she was slapped in the face by Shu-Liang, who used acting as a cover for her bad behavior on the set. She says she'll try to cover it up, but if it turns out to be the case, then she will do what's best for the movie. She thanks the press for all their hard work, and says that everyone is here to visit her in the heat of the day. She asks the audience to believe in her, and tells them to stand up for themselves. She then asks the press to open the script so that she can test it out. She wants to know if the protagonist is an idiot, and if he has to wait until the big climax before he realizes that she tried to help him. He says he'll do his best, but that he can't tell if the script has an automatic function that will let him die by accident.
