In this chapter, we learn that going against nature's laws requires one to sacrifice one's divinity for the sake of the law. In other words, one has to pay a price for going against the natural laws of nature. This is why, when eros kisses furball, he clearly kisses her first. Now, however, she clearly kisses him back. She tells him to take his time and think about the future of his people. She warns him that if he loses his magic, then he's still an elf. He tells her to come and see him after she's done with him. He says that he'll tell him the truth about his identity. He also tells her that she can't tell him about her identity because she'll have to ask her father-in law about it. He'll also tell her how to confirm the pregnancy. She asks him why he calls her father his father- in-law instead of his wife, and he explains that they're both husbands. He then explains that he has to win the "divine branch" and heal avit. The audience has disappeared, which means that the previous scene with eros was an illusion. He explains that the audience disappeared because the audience thought that eros had saved some of them. This means that he was dancing for nothing. His legs are soft from all of the dancing. He was worried about triggering the divine branch in avit, so he didn't change back to his adult form. This body now contains eros's soul.
